Summary
Our client needed to migrate 20 complex Lotus Notes databases to Microsoft SharePoint, as well as convert the content into Dutch language. The content included; Lotus Notes personal Address books, discussion lists containing pasted documents (.doc, .xls, .pdf, .tif etc…) meeting reports as well as other reports for auditing purposes.
Solution
Verinon’s Easy2Share Lotus Notes to SharePoint migration tool simplified the process of moving Lotus notes content to SharePoint. Verinon’s SharePoint migration services team helped analyze the existing data structure and helped our client create an approach/plan for executing the migration. This plan helped our client mitigate the risk associated with migrating from Lotus Notes to SharePoint. The Easy2Share migration methodology took into account issues of maintaining meta-data, security, permissions, ownership information, access rights in recreating a similar content structure from within Microsoft SharePoint that existing in their legacy Lotus Notes system.
