Project Overview:

Our client engaged the Verinon team to assist with migrating their Google Workspace environment to Microsoft 365, encompassing personal drives, shared drives, and Gmail. This large-scale migration needed to be seamless, with minimal disruptions to the company’s operations as well as executed under very tight timelines.

Data Integrity and Compatibility:
Migrating files and emails from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 required handling differences in file structures and email formats, particularly when transferring Google Docs to Microsoft Word, Sheets to Excel, and Gmail to Outlook.
Complexity of Shared Drive Migration:
Migrating the Google Shared Drives into Microsoft SharePoint Online required the mapping of user permissions and maintaining folder structures across platforms without interrupting user access to shared content.
Foreign Character Encoding Issues:
Ensuring that no special or foreign characters were corrupted during the migration, especially with non-standard character encoding used in certain files, required thorough testing and corrective action.
